Welcome Acting Chair, Professor Jack Veugelers - Department of Sociology, St. George Campus

The Department of Sociology is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Jack Veugelers as Acting Chair for the St. George Campus, effective January 1, 2025, for a six-month term during Professor Shyon Baumann’s sabbatical.

In this role, Professor Veugelers will uphold the department's dedication to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. His leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the academic environment, fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere, and providing robust support to both faculty and students as they continue to thrive in their academic pursuits.
