Early Researcher Award Deadline

Description
The Province of Ontario's Early Researcher Award (ERA) program provides support for new researchers working at publicly funded Ontario research institutions to build their research teams of undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, research assistants, associates, and technicians. The program will provide funding of up to $100,000 for each award for five years. The program is open to full-time research stream faculty members who started their academic careers on or after Jan 1, 2015 and completed their PhDs on or after Jan 1, 2010. To be competitive, researchers should be actively involved in conducting research that has been supported by peer-reviewed funding and demonstrate academic independence from previous supervisors.

Note the following dates and deadlines:
April 20th: The Research Services Office is holding an information session 2:00pm to 3:30pm virtually through Microsoft Teams. Please register by April 16, 2021.
May 17th: 3 letters of reference submitted (2 arms-length, 1 former supervisor)
May 28th: internal U of T deadline
June 11: final deadline
